Willie Plummer Brinkley, Sr. 86, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday January 23. He was born in Halifax, NC, to George Sr. and Susannah Lynch Brinkley. He was the widower of Daisy Brinkley. Mr. Brinkley was a member of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. He retired from the Water Department of the City of Norfolk. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was predeceased by his first wife Essie Belle Winston Brinkley. He is survived by his children Wilbert, Wiley, Wesley, Winford, and Wyman Brinkley. Gladys Taylor, Wilma Brinkley Hill, Winifred Brinkley Hodges, and Wynola Brinkley Gardner. He was predeceased by Willie Jr, Warren, and Wade Brinkley. He is also survived by sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
