Jalaine Carr Svabek

BUCKSPORT AND BRADENTON, FL - Jalaine Carr Svakbek passed away March 16, 2015 with her loving husband Michael by her side. She was born on October 15, 1954 in Bangor, Maine.

After a tragic car accident in 2002 left her quadriplegic, she fought with tremendous courage and determination to not allow her disability to take away from her quality of life. Her spirit and will to live was amazing. She loved her family and all the visits they made to Florida to keep her spirits high and determination strong.

Jalaine is survived by her husband of 15 years Michael Svabek. She leaves behind two children, her daughter and "precious angel" Tiffany Pierson, husband "Mo" and grandchildren Evan Philbrook, Whitney Pierson and Drew Pierson and her son James Wesley Haynes, her "little king." She is survived by sister, Pam Patten, and husband Putt and sister Rachael Budwine. She is also survived by her nieces Lyndsy Clough, Mallory Patten and Ashley Budwine. She was predeceased by her Mother and Father, Wes and Jodie Carr.

Jalaine had many special friends along the way who were always there with caring hearts and encouraging words. She had an especially close relationship with her Mother and Father-In-Law, Carol and Jim Svabek. Vivian Robinson, her friend and caretaker, was instrumental in her quality of life for many years.

A graveside service will be held at East Lamoine Cemetery, Route 184, Lamoine, ME at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 15, 2015 for close friends and family.
