Louise Maggio Obituary

Louise Maggio, 83, of Port Arthur, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born on July 11, 1929, to Emerida Cormier and Theophilus Leleux, in Morse, Louisiana. Louise devoted her life to raising her children and caring for her family. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Nederland. Louise enjoyed crocheting, reading, sewing, gardening, cooking, and almost any kind of crafts. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Youmans Klinger and her husband, Bob, of Nederland; Jane Ericsson and her husband, Arthur, of Houston; and Patricia Maggio Hensley and her husband, Roger, of Port Arthur; sons, David Maggio of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Joe Maggio of Beaumont; brothers, Pierre Leleux and his wife, Ginnie, of Whittier, California and Vern Leleux of Lomita, California; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Louise is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Edward Maggio; son, John Edward Maggio; and sisters, Beulah Leleux, Liz Simon, and Willis Leleux. A gathering of Mrs. Maggio's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches. Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas, 2780 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77703. Complete and updated information may be found at broussards1889.com.
