Doris Frank
Doris Frank, 89, of Okawville, Ill., born Aug. 16, 1926, in New Canton, Ill., departed this life at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Frank worked as a secretary at Scott Air Force Base then as a secretary for her husband, Bill at the First National Bank in Okawville. Doris and Bill were very civic minded and deeply involved in the community. Doris served as a leader in the Girl Scout program in Okawville, and was a member of the Okawville Chamber of Commerce where she was involved in the Festival of Trees and the Okawville Christmas Stroll as well as a being an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Okawville Historical Society and the Heritage House Museum Association, and for many years was active in the planning of the annual Heritage Days celebration in Okawville. Doris was a faithful member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Okawville where she was a member of the Altar Sodality and she also enjoyed going to activities at the United Methodist Church in Okawville with her sister, Annabel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Frank, whom she married on Sept. 3, 1966, at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Okawville, and who died Dec. 28, 1993; her parents, Dewey and Eva, nee Gard, Kendrick; sister, Annabel Morgan; a granddaughter, Bridget Luechtefeld; and a brother in infancy.
Left to mourn her passing are three children, John "Pat" Frank and wife Karen of Kings Hill, Idaho, Erin Duffy and husband Brian of Rensselaer, Ind., and Tom Cooper and wife Laurie of Swansea, Ill.; six grandchildren, Victoria Hill and husband Tim, Steve Cooper and wife Catherine, Emily Rosenberg and husband Dan, Adam Luechtefeld and wife Cadance, Michael Cooper and wife Angela and Matt Luechtefeld and wife LuAnn; 11 great-grandchildren, Collin and Paige Hill, Tyler and Jackson Rosenberg, Andrea and Kenny Cooper, Michael and Jason Cooper, Noah and Shane Luechtefeld and Gideon Luechtefeld; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage House Museum Association or to the St. Barbara Catholic Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, in the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Okawville with Father Steven Poole officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Okawville, Ill.
