Julia Sheehan Obituary

Julia M. Sheehan died peacefully in her sleep at age 96, on Memorial Day, May 27th, her mother's birthday. Born in Philadelphia, she was a loving homemaker and avid gardener, who spent most of her life on Great Island, New Castle, N.H. where she moved with her beloved late husband, Thomas Sheehan when he transferred from PA to become director of Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard's Materials Testing Lab. She is survived by a son, Thomas D. Sheehan of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Jane Maddox of Auburndale; grandson, Jesse Maddox of Bangkok; granddaughter, Katherine Maddox (Nick Menache) and grandchildren Maddox and Niko Menache of Sebastopol, CA; sister Anne Anthony of Seminole, FL; niece Frances Barber of Clementon, NJ and many other nieces, nephews and friends. A remembrance service will be held at 2:00 on June 12 at the Scandinavian Living Center, 206 Waltham St., West Newton, MA where she was a cherished resident.
