I am forever grateful for my uncle Fred! I miss him and treasure the many times I was blessed to be with him. He had his own way of making you (and me) feel like a million bucks!
One of my memories was eating lobster (bibs and all!) at the Harvard clubhouse!

He was a mentor whose excellence and friendship and mentoring and modesty continue shaping my 85 year old life every, day and I only learned today about his passing, and hope to learn how to get hold of Buster. A great, great Harvard and educational legacy, out of WW 2 , the GI Bill and Bill Bender and and Boise, Idaho. l

Words like kind, patient, leader, sympathetic, gentleman, and so many more, come to mind. What a great man - always fair and a pleasure to work for. Easily one of my fondest memories of working for Harvard. He always seemed genuinely happy to see you and took the time to greet all as if you were his best friend.

I am so very sorry for your loss of one of the finest of men to ever grace the planet. He was such a wonderful brother to my mother, Shirley. Blessed to call him "Uncle Freddy", I thank the Lord for every moment I enjoyed with him. May God bless you with strength and peace in this difficult time.

The character of Fred Glimp was never more in evidence than in the spring of 1965 when he engaged my father in a brief, but for me, enormously significant conversation. The details are unimportant; what burned itself into my heart was Dean Glimp's heartfelt respect and concern for the circumstances of another. My deepest sympathies to his wife and family. Humanity lost a great man when Fred Glimp finished his journey here.

I worked at Harvard after Fred retired but when he was still a regular presence in the office. For me, he represented so much that is good about fund development work; a genuine passion for the cause and a driving desire to be of service. My sympathies to his family.
