ARTHUR ALTMAN Obituary

ALTMAN, Arthur D. Altman, Arthur David of Boston, MA and Wellington, FL passed away on April 7, 2021. Cherished husband of Nancy, the love of his life. Beloved father to Murray (Barbara), Paul, Margie, Patrick, Marianne, Michael. Grandpa and Papa to his adored grandchildren Michael, Jeremy and Arden. Brother to Henry (Mary) and Uncle to Anne (Dan) and Beth (Kirk). Treasured friend to many. A powerhouse of a man, Arthur invested with vigor in all he did, be it business deals, on the fairway or in a game of gin rummy. He was quietly philanthropic, a voracious reader, a fan of British crime dramas and mediocre movies. Arthur loved history, world travel and his Irish Wolfhounds. Above all, he held dear his family and made it his life's work to ensure that they are happy and safe. With Nancy by his side, he delighted in visits from his children and grandchildren where he would sit at the helm of family dinners filled with stories and laughter. We, his family, pledge to continue this tradition in his honor. He will be profoundly missed. Due to the current travel difficulties of the pandemic, there will be no memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130. Arrangements by brezniakfd.com

Saddened to find this, but thankfull for having the honor to have met him. A warm man with great humor and wisdom. As a young man I had the privilige to go on trips through Ireland with Arthur and Nancy, joyfull days that made a lasting impression.
I'll never forget the 'First Jewish King of Ireland' and keep a warm place in my heart.
Love to Nancy and family.

Remembering this conversation about Game of Thrones and how both of us were so out of the typical audience age range for this series. Arthur you were so interesting and profoundly ageless. I will think of your often and the impact that you had on people.

Our heart goes out to Nancy and your family. Arthur was a friend and former neighbor--a unique man whose sometimes gruff manner belied a big heart. He took a genuine interest in our family and especially our (then) little girl. As his obituary states, he delighted in children and regaled us with stories of his grandchildren. When he and Nancy moved away, he continued stay in touch each year with a generous holiday basket and a phone call. He was a vibrant and resilient man who aged with grace and never seemed to lose his sense of humor and spark. We will remember Arthur's distinctive and genuine kindness, and we will smile when we think of him.

What a man. True to his word, set a great example for everyone around him. Family was everything. He will missed by all he touched
