Mr. Beaton,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe fighting the Germans during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Dear Beaton Family,

Mary and Mel were my godparents. Every single one of the memories I have of your dad are wonderful. Kind, caring, generous and full of great good humor, he's always had a place in my heart.

I'm sorry for your loss. Know that your grief is shared, but so are the memories of a truly excellent man.

Dear Beaton Family,

I'm sure you don't remember me, but my father Jack DeCoff and your Dad were cousins. Your Dad was bestman at my parents' wedding. My Dad just passed away too, and we tried to let Mel know, but my Aunt Margie Currab said he was too ill to attend the funeral.

I just want to let you know how sad I am for you and all of us that knew and loved him. I remember your parents fondly at their home in Dorchester, and the silly stories your Dad would tell and how he would endlessly tease me!

My Mom and Dad loved your Dad very much, and I hope they're together again living it up again like the old days!

I send you my love, wish you strength, and pray for your peace.

With love,
Deirdre DeCoff
