PETER HANSEN Obituary

HANSEN, Peter Flynn Passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home in Huntington Beach, California. Peter was born on March 9, 1952, in Brighton, Massachusetts. He is the son of the late Harold M., Alice G. (Cullen) and Mary E. (Cahill) Hansen. Peter was married to Okhee Yoon, in Camden, Maine, on October 13, 2012, who survives him. Peter was a graduate of Marshfield High School, and earned his A.S. at Cape Cod Community College, B.S. Pharmacy and M.A. Theatre Design at the University of Wyoming, Laramie. He settled in California in 1988, working as a pharmacist for the Long Beach Naval Hospital and Veterans' Affairs Medical Center. He retired in 2014. Peter and Okhee enjoyed traveling all over the world! He relaxed by playing golf; was a master cribbage player, a skill he learned from his father; a reader of American historical fiction and science fiction; an avid fan of the Sox and the Patriots; enthusiastic theatergoer; and a highly skilled computer expert. Surviving Peter along with his wife, Okhee; and her son, Jason; are his daughter, Tracy; and brothers, Michael and Brian; and granddaughter, Lily; also his brother, Paul and his wife, Sharon Kohler, sister, Katy Nason and her husband, Dave; sister, Mary Hansen and her husband, Steve Picone; sister, Anne Hansen-Tribbett; and sister, Ruth Calderwood and her husband, Joe; nieces, Nora G. Calderwood, Kat Nason, and Jessica L. Tribbett; nephews, John H. Calderwood, Ed Fenochietti, and Joe Nason. He was funny guy :) Peter will be sorely missed by all. The family will Celebrate Peter's Life this coming October, in Lincolnville, Maine.
