RODERIC BALTZ Obituary

BALTZ, Roderic Age 91, of Peabody, Lexington and Falmouth, Mass. passed away peacefully with his family at home on Tuesday. He was the loving husband to Jeanne (Gilmore) Baltz for 63 years. He was an ever so wonderful father to his 5 children, Ellyn, Nancy, Lisa, Marilyn and Bruce; caring father-in-law to his sons-in-law Steve and Dan; and doting, fun-loving grandfather to six grandchildren: Brett, Curtis, Warren, Charles, Matthew, and Emma. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II as a bombardier, and then went on to graduate from Lafayette College as an Industrial Engineer. He created and owned Baltz Co, Inc. for 37 years before transitioning the business to his son and business partner, Bruce. Rod was involved with the community in many ways, and always participated to improve it. He was a member of the Simon W. Robinson Masonic Lodge in Lexington, and was the proud recipient of the Cross of Honor for all he did with them. In retirement, he and Jeanne enjoyed time in Jensen Beach, Florida as well as world-wide travel. They came back to spend happy and fun times with all the family, especially on Cape Cod. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. Private services will be graveside at Westview Cemetery in Lexington. Please contact the family for details.
