Shannon (Swartz) Elliott
October 20, 2020
I was an intern at the Arnold Arboretum back in about 2003 or 2004, and Nancy and Kim invited me to stay the summer with them while I had one of the most influential summers of my life. Watching the news with Nancy and hearing her talk back to the TV was one of my simplest and best lessons in critical thinking. They were incredibly kind to me. And their memories stand tall in my mind alongside the beautiful collections of trees at the arboretum.
