BENITO FUENTES Obituary



Benito N. Fuentes, 103, went home to our Lord on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX.

He was a native and a lifelong resident of Brownsville.

Benito is preceded in death by his loving wife Adela G. Fuentes, a daughter; Josefina F. Garza, and seven siblings.

He is survived by his children Irene F. (Leo) Huantes, Amelia F. (Jesus) Salinas, Maria H. (Reynaldo+) Garza, Diana Fuentes, and Antonio Fuentes, a son -in- law Pedro (Josefina+) Garza, 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 04, 2014, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.

A Chapel Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 05, 2014, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Jessie Salinas, Johnny Salinas, Rey Garza, Adrian Garza, Daniel Huantes, Jose Balboa, Gage Rivas, and Pete Garza.

Honorary Pallbearers are Leo Huantes Jr, Manuel Garza, and Juan Hernandez.

Special thanks to his caregivers Bertha, Nora and staff at Spanish Meadows Nursing Center.

Que doloroso es perder a un ser querido en la muerte, si en nuestra mano estuviera devolverle la vida seguro que lo hariamos pero eso no es posible en nuestro caso. Pero Dios si puede y el lo va a hacer. La biblia nos asegura en Hechos 24:15 que va a haber resurreccion de justosa.es uan consuelo saber esa verdad pues nos da esperanza de volver a ver a nuestros seres queridos que han muerto.que estas palabras la animen y fortalesca.

Our deepest sympathy to the family, thou we knew Mr. Benito when our father was living he just past last April he was Gregorio P. Rodriguez Sr. (la Trucha) your father visited him frequently last year he was such a sweet man and god also gave him a long life, my father was 99 would've been 100 in May its so beautiful to have had them that long. we miss our father still and forever, as you all are missing Mr. Benito, may god bless all of you and you all will be in our prayers.
