NEW WASHINGTON: Mildred Rose Wurm, age 88, of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her home.

She was born on December 1, 1927 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Peter and Theresa (Oswald) Stockmaster. Mildred graduated from New Washington High School in 1945, was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and an avid quilter.

She is survived by 2 sons, Paul (Marilyn) Wurm of Shelby, OH and Jerry (Mary) Wurm of New Washington, OH; 5 grandchildren, Sandy (Brent) Shook of Bloomville, OH; Rick (Kathy) Wurm of New Washington, OH; Randy Wurm (Diam Hicks) of Attica, OH; Valerie (Jeffrey) Sanderson of New Washington, OH and Stefanie (Christian) Kuntz of Granville, OH; 13 great grandchildren, Brandon, Jaret and Grant Shook; Johnathan and Sydney Wurm; Joelle, Addisyn, Traven and Lukas Wurm; Kyle and Tyler Sanderson; Eleanor Kuntz; and Korban Hass and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Wurm, whom she married on July 13, 1946; 2 brothers, Bernard Stockmaster and Richard Stockmaster; and a sister, Martha (Stockmaster) Presler.

Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington.
