Ivan A. Herrero

Ivan A. Herrero, owner/operator of Auto Truck Enterprises/Allen Samuels Towing, 59, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on October 6, 2007. Mr. Herrero was born on March 17, 1948 in New York, New York to the late Ivan A. Herrero, Sr. and to Lilia Rodriguez of Puerto Rico. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He completed numerous missions in combat, earning him many medals. He was preceded in death by one son, Germain Herrero of Puerto Rico. Survivors include his wife, Martha Herrero of Aguas Calientes, Mexico; two sons, Abel (Matilda) Herrero of Robstown and Ira (Sally) Herrero of Robstown; three daughters, Devon Herrero of Corpus Christi, Karen (Richard) Herrero Spencer of Portland and Kiana Herrero of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Sandra Pew, Evelyn Herrero, and Angeles Herrero; nine grandchildren, Annalisa, Andrea and Abel Herrero, Jr., Sabrina, Isabella and Indira Herrero, Alejandro Salazar, Santos and Ciera Hinojosa. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Final viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. Buriel will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
