Gerald was one of the most ardent supporter during my years as alumni director at Malone. He was a vibrant leader with contagious energy and enthusiasm. His love for his Lord and for others was exemplary. We will miss Gerald’s bright witness but it lives on in all the lives he touched. I am so grateful to have been one of them. Love and prayers to Edie and the family!!

My thoughts and prayers to Mrs Schroeder, family and friends. May God ease your pain and give you all the strength needed in this most difficult time.
I was blessed to have Mr Schroeder as my 6th grade teacher in 72/73. He was not just a good teacher but a good man as well.
Graditude and blessings to Mr Schroeder.

My thoughts and prayer to the family. Mr Schroeder was my teacher in the late 60's and we also attended the same church (First Friends). He was one of my favorite teacher, I looked forward to going to his class. He always took time out to help me when I didn't understand a lesson or math problem. God Bless You Mr. Schroeder.

Gerry was one of the finest people I've ever known. I met him when we both taught at Taft, and found him to be a great teacher and a friend to all. If you knew him, you not only liked him, but respected him. He had an easy way about him, soothing others in edgy situations, making them feel comfortable, a true peacemaker. It may be a cliche', but he brought out the best in people.
I had the pleasure of golfing with my friend Gerry for many years. Even when I was struggling with my game, he never belittled, but always encouraged. Some of the tips he gave me for golf I still remember and use today. I have a feeling that many of the tips he gave all of us, in living well, will stay with us forever.
