Arthur J. Reiber Jr.

age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2021 after a brief illness in Charlottesville, Va. Art was born to Gertrude Seiferth Reiber and Arthur J. Reiber Sr. on June 7, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Art graduated from Allderdice High School and attended Carnegie Institute of Technology. Art served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Okla. After serving honorably, Art returned to Pittsburgh and began his career in the steel industry at Jones & Laughlin Steel Company. Throughout his career, Art was a successful businessman who was well known for his integrity, honesty and hard work ethic. Art's reputation and entrepreneurial spirit contributed to his success and the founding of several companies, culminating in the creation of Stark Metal Sales in 1989 at which he was President and CEO until his retirement. Art resided in North Canton, Ohio, Hartville, Ohio and in the last twenty years in Naples, Fla. Art was an active member in numerous service and professional organizations in the community. He was an avid golfer and held memberships at Congress Lake Country Club in Hartville, Ohio and Wyndemere Country Club in Naples, Fla.

Art is survived by his wife of 46 years, Charlé Berry Reiber; and his children Stephanie (Andrew) Morris of Charlottesville, Va, David (Theresa) Rownd of North Canton, Ohio, Roberta Rownd of Key West, Fla, and Charles (Carol) Rownd of Boerne, Texas. Grandchildren include Maggie, Ben, and Jake Morris; John, Emily, and Caroline Rownd; Kelly Rownd; Kate (Christian) Marquez; great-granddaughter, Lucy Marquez; niece, Christine Strehl; and grandnephew, Isaac Strehl. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Anne Marshall Reiber, sister, Lydia Strehl and his Aunt Bee (Henry) Ellerman.

Due to restrictions on social gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, private family funeral services will be held at a later date this spring. Art had a great love of country and service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
