Christopher James Day passed away on January 22, 2026.
Chris was born in Davenport, Iowa on February 14, 1979, to Mary Louise (Hardy) and Carl Michael Day. He spent his early years in Iowa before the family moved to northern Virginia.
Chris went on to attend Clemson University in Clemson, SC graduating class of 2002. He enjoyed living in the college town after graduation where he met the love of his life, Mary Alice Wilson, who also graduated from Clemson in 2006. They married in October of 2009 on Sullivan’s Island, SC surrounded by family and loved ones.
Chris was a gifted computer programmer, who worked on the technology side of several industries. Chris historically worked in the financial industry in Charleston. Professionally he took great interest in recruiting recent Clemson graduates. He also enjoyed mentoring and sharing his skill set with others.
In his spare time, Chris delighted in several pursuits with Mary Alice including gaming, trivia nights, karaoke, Clemson football, and relaxing with their dogs Daisy and Archer.
Chris is survived by his parents Mary Hardy Day and Carl Michael Day, wife Mary Alice Day, sister Samantha Adams, and nieces Brandi, Jaden, and Shelby.
