Albert F. Forsman

HARWICH - Albert F. Forsman, 92, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at home with his family by his side.

Born in Palmer on Oct. 20, 1914, he was the son of the late Hjalmar and Anna (Peterson) Forsman. He grew up in Palmer, and lived there for many years before moving to Harwich. He worked for Utility Manufacturing in Wilbraham for 40 years before his retirement in 1975.

Al will be remembered as a master craftsman, and a man who loved his family, and enjoyed fishing.

His wife, Edith (Ledbury) Forsman, died in 1992. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Philip W. and his wife Karen of Harwich, and Albert C. ''Bud'' and his wife Linda of Longmeadow, along with his two brothers, Raymond of Feeding Hills, and Robert of Wilbraham. He also leaves his four grandchildren, Heather Urquart and Heidi Forsman of Cape Cod, Philip Forsman of Rangeley, Maine, Candace Forsman of Longmeadow, and a great-grandson, Benjamin Forsman of Cape Cod. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his brother Wesson.

Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., Route 20, Palmer, followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m.
