After reading so many kind memories and thoughts and knowing that the hurt that I have is being shared with so many, the best of memories are those that make us remember, that just so special way that Laurie could make you feel about yourself. Her freckly little fingers, always meticulously painted and filed making sure to fix that piece of hair that may not have seemed in place; the constant reassurance that life is good and slightly rose colored if you let it; too many recipes and the day after results to talk about, are just some the best parts of having someone who unconditionally loves you. Laurie was a woman so deep and complex, so varied in thought and action that most couldn't comprehend and considered crazy. I will miss my big sister, I’ll miss the phone calls everyday on the weekends sometimes three or four times and several during the week. The weekends spent at the cape where she was at her best, doting on your every want and need. The funny memories of the police officer with donut on his face that pulled us over, laughing until we cried; the once a year birthday story of my father telling my sisters that the little baby they had been waiting for was very sick. Life will just not be the same without my big sister. God bless you Laurie, I love you and miss you more than you know, rest in peace.

Your baby sister, Faithie

Robin, Amy and Faith,
I just heard about Laurie's death yesterday. I'm so sorry. It's been a long time since we were together - hanging out at my house or yours. I wish I knew Laurie as an adult.

Funny memory. I think Robin and I were about 10 or so - that makes Laurie 8 or 9. We were all at a Mother/daughter dinner at church. The church ladies announced a freckle contest and I was pushed up front. They were reaching the ribbon (or whatever) out to me when Laurie came out of the kitchen. The ribbon was whisked from my fingers and handed to Laurie before she even got to the stage.

Love you all. I'm so sorry for our loss and most especially yours.
Your kissing cousin;

Bruce + Rossi,
Laurie was such an amazing and caring person. She could always put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. I’ll never forget how fun and hilarious she was and all the memorable times we visited each other. I will miss her so much; she was like a second mother to me. My prayers are with you and I am so sorry for your loss Bruce. Now she is watching over us in peace and she will live on in all the hearts that loved her and that she loved. You and Rossi were her everything. I am so thankful to have known her and once again I am so sorry Bruce. God Bless.

The past few weeks have been hard for me. I cant afford to come down there and tell you myself how deeply sorry i am, and how much my heart aches for my Uncle Bruce. I remember skating on the cranberry bogs, and chasing the dogs around. I remember playing pool in our basement when we were probably about 5 years old. Life has this weird way of making things work out, but in this case i just wish i was able to be there see it all through.

My Heart, My prayers, My thoughts and everything in between are with you all through all of this. She was such a good woman and i was looking forward to her meeting my son, and my nephew. Smiling down on us i know she is watching me write this now. Love you uncle bruce. So much

Your Niece

I have come here several times, but each time, never knowing what to say.
I am so sorry for your loss, My heart aches for you and Ross. I have been remembering all the times that we all shared back in the day, water sking at the pond, pool in the garage, many dinners, ice skating on the cranberry bogs, I could go on for days.

Bruce and Rossi, Robin, Amy, and Faith,
I am so sorry the we have lost Laurie. She had one of the biggest hearts in the world, she always tried to help everyone who needed it. She was my best friend my whole life. My life would not be the same had I not had her in it. She was "the wind beneath my wings" whenever I needed it, and I am so glad she was part of my life. I have my family thanks to her "fixing" David and I up almost 30 years ago. As others have said, from coast to coast she made a difference in many peoples lives and will be greatly missed.
With Love,
Helen Russo
