To the bereaved family, Remembrance of Ms. Alice from my childhood years. Ms. Alice was one out of many that was employed at the Ladson House Restaurant, once located on President Street, in downtown Charleston. Ms. Alice always greeted you with a smile and loved to share her great cooking experience and spoke words of encouragement whenever needed. I will always remember Ms. Alice as being a legend, she is gone now to be with the Lord. Ms. Alice, may you rest in peace.

I am extremely blessed and grateful for this beautiful soul to have been a part of my life. Ms. Alice has known me before I even knew myself. She has been a dear, dear friend of my mom and our family. I’ll never forget how kind, giving, and loving she was to me and many, many others. Thinking of Ms. Alice shows me the heart of God. I am sure He is well pleased. I am saddened and heartbroken to not see or talk to her again on this side; but I am thankful that she will suffer no more as she rejoices in Heaven. I thank you, Lord!!
