Ann Boileau Obituary

Ann Morrison Boileau SUPPLY - Ann Morrison Boileau died today, October 1, 2018. She wrote the following: I was born in Charlotte, NC on February 26, 1943, the second child of William Henry and Sara Spratt Morrison. I am predeceased by both and by my adorable older sister, Susie Abrams who left my side on May 9, 2014. I have enjoyed a wonderful life which I am in no way ready to leave. It is certainly not my choice nor desire to die but die I must. Cancer was my undoing and it the most wicked of foes. I am truly sorry to have let down all those wonderful people who sent their support and encouragement through countless cards and letters. They only wanted me to get better and their hope was that somehow their prayers would save me. It certainly wasn't that their faith was not strong enough; it was simply that this disease takes no prisoners. Having raged against the dying of the light, I will now tell you that I will never be dead as long as my friends and family are alive and kicking. If you should wake up with a song that just will not leave your thoughts, that will be me reminding you to sing. If you stub your big toe and cuss like a sailor, you will know that those words have flown from my mouth into yours. If you wake in the middle of the night with worries keeping you from sleep, remember my favorite saying, "The Morning is Wiser than the Evening" and you will drift off to sweet dreams. Oh, how lucky I was to have raised up two incredibly smart and loving children, Catherine and Albert. They were always delightful even through their teenage years and grew into adulthood to be my very best friends on this earth. Fortunately, I have lived long enough to watch my grandchildren, Eli and Annie, develop their own creative personalities. Truly, who could ask for anything more? Paul Boileau and I have known each other for about 15 years and we have only been married eleven of those but, I am here to tell you that those 11 years have been the best years of my life. He is so smart, so sweet, so calm, so funny and he can whistle almost any tune you can name. He has put up with my loud and opinionated self without rancor. We loved to just be with each other no others need apply. We never had a conversation lull and we each knew the words to about a trillion songs which had to be an irritant to anyone within earshot. He loved me everyday throughout this nasty cancer and never lost hope. We will miss each other greatly. Paul, just remember, we found each other, "At Last." So farewell to my earthly family: Paul; Catherine and Henry Boardman and children, Eli and Annie; Albert and Laura Nisbet; Elizabeth, Noah and Evie Martin; Gladys Boileau and to everybody that I love - you know who you are.
