INDIAN TRAIL -- Mrs. Edge, 67, was promoted to glory on Friday, April 1, 2005. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel with Reverend Trent Watts officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 4, 2005 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 4431 Old Monroe Rd.
Mrs. Edge was born on February 26, 1938 in Cerro Gordo, NC to the late Woodrow and Isabelle Avant. She worked at Ballabox for 20 years and was preceded in death by her husband Earl Edge, Sr. and grandson James.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Taylor of Sunset Beach, Kay Sellers of Myrtle Beach and Judy Simmons of Clemmonsville; son, Andy Edge of Indian Trail; sister, Fay Fuller and one brother Milton Avant of Kernersville and was blessed with nine grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice House #2 and the staff of the Mecklenburg Medical Group for their hospitality and support during Meredith's time of need.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Edge to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
