Richard Rosenberg Obituary

Rosenberg, Richard H. "Dick" Richard H. "Dick" Rosenberg, 85, formerly of Wilmette and Glenview, born Passaic, NJ, died June 6, 2015. A 1952 graduate of Purdue University, an Army Veteran, he was a respected chemical engineer, docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation, past President of the New Trier Township School Board, computer teacher, music lover, avid gardener, bridge player and generous advocate of liberal causes. He was the very beloved husband for 62 years of Janet Rosenthal Rosenberg, formerly of Chicago; fond brother of Judith R. Birsh of NY; and brother-in-law to the late Jerry and Jimmy Rosenthal. He will be greatly missed by his much-loved children, Nancy Engel (Dan), Debra Rosenberg (Joe Boyd), Bob Rosenberg (fiancée, Kathi Kuhlman); grandchildren, David (Tahli), Josh and Rebecca Engel and Elizabeth and Ben Rosenberg; his great-grandchildren, Asher and Laila Engel; and his nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral service. A gathering will be held in his honor at a later date. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
