Muriel Weininger, nee Stein, age 96, of Chicago, beloved wife of the late Jacob "Jack"; loving mother of Judith (Dr. Walter) Fried, Michael (Susan) and David (Sally Havlis); adored grandma of Deborah (Rick) Barkal, Jennifer (Michael) Kelber, Melissa (Mark Mendelsohn) Weininger and Noah Weininger; proud great grandmother of Sabrina, Darcy and Oliver Barkal, Jacob, Ava and Lyla Kelber, Noam and Shayna Mendelsohn-Weininger, Emma and Dylan Weininger; cherished sister of the late Dr. Albert Stein, late Florence Kean and late Joseph Stein; treasured aunt of many nieces and nephews. Muriel was lovingly cared for by Luth and Naty (Natividad). Service Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Anshe Emet Synagogue, 3751 N. Broadway, Chicago. Interment Memorial Park. It's sad tp say good-bye to a wonderful friend of my mother, Sophie Gerch. She's known me since I was born 70 years ago. My thoughts and wishes with the family. I will try to make the funeral-it depends on my tooth and the weather. My memories will be there with you.
