I was sad to learn of the passing of a friend and co worker, from the days at Loyola Medical Center and Hines VA Hospital, next door, where Dr. Hatem Galal worked as a surgeon and as a resident studying the intricacies of microsurgery. Being an Illustrator, I had assisted him in his Illustrations of his work. Including charts and graphs.
He was a dedicated Surgeon in the Fields of Plastic surgery.
I had tried to reach him and catch up with him on his career and family, etc. However, I could never did be able to connect or hear back from him. That was years ago, in the 8o's and again on his facebook wall.
My condolences to his family and his daughters, grandchildren and his family from Egypt!
