Mr. Blitz was my mentor and friend through the 197o's and 1980's. He would invite me to lunch on Tuesdays at some of his favorite restuarants (Greek Islands or Gene & Georgetti) and would discuss every topic a young lawyer could ever desire. He took time with me and I considered it a true blessing to have known him. He was a wonderful man and I will always have him in my heart as a true friend. William Mansker (Goodyear, AZ). I will miss him. God's piece to his family for a life well lived.

Carmont gave me a job at an important time of my life and had a crew of people from all over the world. We rebuilt buses from Washington DC, Chicago, and other places and built People Movers for airports. It was a great time.
Carmont took the factory to dinner at Homerun Inn and out to a White Sox Game. He was always fair to me. He provided jobs for so many people in the Chicago area. I remember him fondly.

Mr. Carmont Blitz hired me as his first engineer to help him design truck body and wheelchair lift. He was a very warm and wonderful person and treated me as his son. I worked for him for about a year (1972-1973) and have many good memories of him. I am retired now and while doing a search for a patent on wheelchair lift of which he was also a coauthor, I came across his obituary and felt sad. I pray God for peace with his soul.

Mr. Blitz was a huge influence on my career and I treasured the time he gave me. The Friday night dinners at G&G and the numerous ball games will always be highlights, but the business sense is the most valuable. I've missed him the past few years as the darkness descended but my thoughts were always there.
Rest in peace you were much loved.

Mr. B,
Who loves you baby as we used to say, me, Marty and everyone in-between. I loved our talks about the Greek Islands, Joel, Cary, family and life. The family and I loved going to the Sox and Bulls game with you and seeing the smiles on your wonderful face, you were always the best host. For me I think about you often as you brought so many smiles into my life and stories to live by. You are just a great guy. I look forward to catching up with you again and seeing that smile of yours.
Big Love Buddy !!!
Jimmy
P.s. I loved the story Jennifer Blitz wrote for that is Mr. B

Bonnie and I send our sincere condolences to Carmont's family and we are sure that he and Gerry Hausman are running together right now. I was just a young man when this wonderful and warm, but so knowledgeable man took me under his wing. His guidance and friendship will always remain an important highlight in my own life

My deepest sympathies to the family. I never knew Mr. Blitz, but I feel like I've known him since I was a kid. My Father was also Mr. Blitz (Alfred Blitz), and every time we would call Como Inn (the restaurant that used to be on Milwaukee Ave in Chicago), the Maitre D' would say, "Are you related to Carmont Blitz?" and my Dad would say "No, but if it get's me a better table, I might be!". We'd laugh, and this went on for years, honestly. My Dad must have been asked 6 times, always at Como Inn. After a while, my whole family really wanted to meet Carmont, just to see who this fabulous person was that obviously got great service :) My Father passed away 3 months ago, so perhaps my Dad finally got his wish to meet Carmont, and they are now having coffee and a good laugh up in Heaven. I'd love to know if indeed we are related. You can drop me a line at [email protected] if you feel like it.
I just had to write and let you know that Carmont touched even those who didn't know him...that's how far his influence was felt.
Take care,

Lonnie, I know we only just met at Dana's birthday, but I truly hope you and your family will except my deepest and most sincere sympathy for your loss. I have not had the honor of meeting Carmont but have always heard only wonderful things about him and that he was a great man.
Sincerely,
Sherry Linares (Dana's granddaughter)
