It has taken me several days to be able to compose this short note without tears. While I met Howard originally when he joined Donnelley years ago, our friendship far transcended that relationship. I cannot recount all of my memories both personal and professional that he and I experienced together over the years. I do know that I will remember him. Margie and I are deeply sorrowful and hold him in our prayers, as well as Judy, Bobby, Julie, and the entire Matz family.

Howard was a colleague of mine at Donnelleys for many years. He was also a great family and community leader as evidenced by the outpouring of love at his visitation on Friday. My wife I and once again extend our condolences to his family, especially to his wife Judy who we were not able to speak to. God Bless. Ed and Judi Curran

Our sincerest condolences to the Matz family. Howard has left quite a legacy behind with the variety show and will be dearly missed. The wonderful memories that Howard and all the Matz family has created for so many high school students are insurmountable. I'm sure he has an amazing chorus line assembled up in heaven. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and we are forever grateful to Howard and the Matz family. God bless you all! Peggy and Colin Kelly (parents of Katie, Brian and Tommy)
