William Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 1, 2010.
William "Bill" Jasper Brown, age 74, went home to be with his Lord on August 26, 2010, in Winlock, WA. Because he trusted in Jesus as his Savior at the age of 11, Bill is now in heaven. Bill was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Bill was born on February 23, 1936, in Grandview, WA, to Alexa and Russell Brown. His family moved to the Renton, WA area and he attended Issaquah schools and graduated in 1955. He attended Washington Electronics Institute which began his career in avionics--servicing commercial and private aircraft. Some of the highlights of his career were his employment at Pan American Airlines, West Coast Airlines, United Airlines and Aero America. He retired from Alaska Airlines in 2004.
Bill married his high school sweetheart Karen Gunnison on June 22, 1956. He enjoyed his family, camping, hiking with his sons, shopping with his daughters, greeting both visitors and church family every Sunday morning, farming, tinkering with electronics and operating his HAM radio.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell, his mother, Alexa, and his son, William, Jr., "Willie." He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Karen; daughter-in-law Larita Brown; daughter Joellen and son-in-law Lance Baxter; son Tim Brown; daughter Deanna and son-in-law Kent Hackl; daughter Alisa and son-in-law Peter Sena; son Nathan and daughter-in-law Charity Brown; 20 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sisters Barbara Crow and Lois Young.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 4th at Mountain View Church, 1201 Belmont Avenue, Centralia, at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethseda Hospital in Singkawang, Indonesia, through World Venture, 1501 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton, CO 80120-5612.

Dear Karen & family,
Bill once could see through a glass darkly, now he sees the Risen Lord.
Bill fought through tests & trials, but now he stands in faith's reward.
Bill had partial knowledge, now he knows everything known.
He used to walk a pilgrim's journey, but now, PRAISE GOD, he's safely home at the feet of Jesus!
We will miss Bill & ask God to comfort your hearts & bless you with special memories.
