James S. "Jim". Died peacefully Monday, October 13, 2014. Age 59. Beloved son of Mary Ellen Bolan (nee O'Connor) and the late Stephen J. Bolan, dear brother of Jerry (Sandy), Tom, Bob, Patty (Tom) Platts, John (Mary), Cathy (L.J.) Fallon, Christy (Tino) Pucci, Richard (Dorelle), Mary Anne (Kevin) Tankersley and Brian (Gretchen) Bolan, Godfather to Stevie Platts and Patty Bolan, and, loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Guardian Angels Church, 6531 Beechmont Ave., Saturday, October 18 at 10:00am. Friends may call at Geo. H. Rohde & Son Funeral Home, Mt. Lookout, Friday from 5:30pm - 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic Charities, 29 E. 8th St., 45202. He was a groomsman in our wedding during the blizzard of '77. Seeing the need , Jim so gallantly and quietly called to have the parking lot at St. Anthony's plowed.

Jim was a very special person. Anyone who met him knew this right away. Those of us he befriended were blessed to have his friend-ship. Can't imagine the world with-out him in it.
