Karl Ziesmann was one of my key mentors during my OB/GYN residency at Bethesda Hospital in the early 1990's. He was a true professional and a kind and compassionate physician, who possessed the utmost in personal integrity. I will never forget him or his lovely wife, Katherine. May his life and legacy never be forgotten.

He exemplified the very best of his profession. He saw me through some very difficult pregnancies and I owe the lives of two of my children to him. Peace, Dr. Ziesmann, you have earned it.

Dr. Ziesmann was such a gentle and compasionate Doctor who I had the privilege of having for my doctor from the mid 80's until he retired.
He had a great sense of humor and I admired the way he was always interested in learning new technology that would help his patients. I can remember him saying once that he felt he should always learn as much as he could as long as he could.
Dr. Ziesmann was so easy to talk to when I would seek his opinion about a medical procedure he felt was necessary. He was that kind of friend to his patients, always allowing time to answer questions he felt would help put his patients at ease.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
I know he earned a very special place in heaven.
My deepest sympathy to his family.

Life puts into our path, very special people and Dr. Z, as I called him, was one of those for me. Thank you for helping me through my many cranky pregnancies by your humor and gentle touch. Dr. Z is home, now.

Dr. K. Ziesmann was a wonderful doctor and man. He and Katherine helped me through brain surgery in the early 80s. I worked with him and was also a patient. I will miss his talent, dedication and sense of humor. Heaven has gained another angel. He and Kathrine will make a wonderful team. RIP
