Jean Mathis

Hyde Park - Jean Carolyn (nee Runck), beloved wife of 60 years to the late Harry "Mike" Mathis, cherished mother of Ann (John) Schoeny, Ward (Melissa) Mathis and the late Michael Mathis, devoted grandmother of Alexandra Schoeny and Samantha (Evan) Ray and Abigail (Max) Mongenas and Jack Mathis, and the great-grandmother of soon to be great-grandson. Loving sister of Richard F. (Barbara) Runck, and the late, Reno "Bud" Runck and Dorothy Kuhn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as her Wyoming Daughter, Allison Langdon. Passed away on Sunday, August 5th at the age of 89. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 9th at 1PM at Indian Hill Church, 6000 Drake Rd. (45243). Jean was a long-time member of the Cincinnati Junior League, and a long-time docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Crossroads Hospice, 4360 Glendale-Milford Rd. (45242), The Cincinnati Art Museum, 953 Eden Park Dr. (45202) or The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, GTRLC, 3860 N. Long Lake Rd., Suite D, Traverse City, MI (49684).
