Ruth Ann Link

Asheville - Ruth Ann Robinson Link, 88, beloved wife of John D. Link passed away in their home in Asheville surrounded by family Sunday, February 16, 2014. A native of Boston, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Harold Robinson and Ruth A. Saums.

A passionate dog lover and avid Boston Red Sox fan, her favorite past times were global traveling, gardening, volunteering for various organizations and reading.

Mrs. Link is survived by her cherished husband of nearly 70 years, John D. Link, daughters Melinda A. Lincoln and spouse Sperry Graham Lincoln of North Haven, Connecticut, Melissa A. Gunther and spouse Robert C. Gunther, MD of Asheville, Melanie E Beck and spouse Jerry Gotbeter of Charleston, SC, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt thanks for the support and assistance of CarePartners Hospice.

A private service was held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813 (828) 277-4800, Meals on Wheels, 146 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801 (828) 253-5286 or a favorite charity.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family and the memorial register is available at grocefuneralhome.com.
