Swannanoa - Jesse Lee Robinson, age 88 of Swannanoa died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Robinson was born October 19, 1927 in Yancey County to the late Thomas L. and Maud King Robinson. He was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life, a machinist for NCI, Inc. and loved NASCAR racing.
Surviving are his wife Ruby Moss Robinson; daughters, Marie Naves and husband Lawrence, Doris Hughes and husband Craig, sons, Steve Robinson and wife Betty, Joe Robinson; four sisters and one brother; grandchildren, Leigh Anne Cathy, Matthew Robinson, Adrianne Hughes, Alex Hughes, Eric Hughes, Logan Ray, Kaleb Ray; great granddaughter, Anna Robinson.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend James Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Holcombe Branch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
In lieu of flowers those desiring to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider a charity of choice.
