Ruth Boyd Obituary
Mrs. Boyd was born in Liberty County to loving parents, the late Henry Fleming Sr. and Aldonia Roberts Fleming. She was educated in the Liberty County School System. She worked in the Long County School System as a food service worker where she retired after 20 years of service. She was also employed by Coastal Manor Nursing Home for over five years.
Her husband, Robert Lee Boyd, preceded her in death.
Those left to mourn her passing include a daughter, Threase Evans of Newport News, Va., son, Todrick Fleming of Ludowici; stepchildren, Patrick Baker, Sharon Williams, Anthony Boyd and Valerie Boyd; her sisters, Rebecca (Prophet Otis) McIver, Rosetta Fleming and Eliza Fleming, all of Midway; her brothers, Henery (Thelma) Fleming Sr. of St. Simons Island, Daniel (Sophronia) Fleming of Midway and Johnnie (Elise) Fleming of Hinesville; sisters-in-law, Thelma Fleming, Phoebe Boyd, Vascile Boyd, Angie Boyd, Mavis Roberson; brothers-in-law, Edward Boyd, Phillip Boyd, Willie James Boyd and Larry Boyd; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other relatives.
Viewing was Friday evening, Nov. 23, at the Dorchester Funeral Home of Midway.
Her funeral service was Saturday, Nov. 24, at First Zion Baptist Church in Riceboro.
Burial was in Macedonia Church Cemetery in Ludowici.
Dorchester Funeral Home of Midway has charge of the arrangements.

Mrs Boyd was surrounded by such a large family. I am so sorry for your loss, I know she will be missed.
