Robert Lint Obituary

Bob Lint was born in 1927 and raised in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania. He was in the Navy from 1945 through 1946. After attending the University of West Virginia, he became a pioneer in the plastics industry.

Throughout his career, he solved problems so that plastics could be applied to multiple uses from sailboats to traffic lights. He and his wife retired to Florida. Some years after her death he moved to New Hampshire with his current wife, Jane Pinel. In 2002 they opened Wellsweep Gallery in a barn they restored in Hillsborough Center. Their gallery has been an artistic center, displaying his art collection and photography as well as the works of many locally and globally known artists. Bob loved the New Hampshire sense of community and was known as a frequent customer of locally-owned restaurants and businesses.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jane Pinel, and their children; Lesley Ericsson, Thomas Lint, Jan Mahoney, and Sandra Pinel, as well as seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering is planned for August 1, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Wellsweep Gallery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name for the maintenance of the Hillsborough Center Historic District (HACSC/HillsboroughCenterFund, PO Box 867, Hillsborough N.H., 03244).
