Concettina DiRocco Ruggerio

Haddonfield - Nee DiRocco, age 86, a long-time resident of Haddonfield, New Jersey, passed away in Haddonfield on August 17, 2018. Concettina was the beloved wife of Dr. Anthony C. Ruggerio, mother of Dr. Mark A. Ruggerio (Dr. Vanessa A. Morenzi), Bonnie J. Guistwhite, Cynthia Ruggerio (John S. Anooshian) and grandmother of Constance A. Guistwhite and Lara M. Ruggerio. She was the daughter of Guiseppina and Guiseppe DiRocco, of Camden, New Jersey, and is predeceased by her sister, Mary Villa, and her brothers, Joseph and Rocco DiRocco.

Mrs. Ruggerio, also known to many as Connie, was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, New Jersey. She worked as a secretary/stenographer at Public Service in Camden before meeting her husband, Anthony, and moving to Haddonfield in the mid-1960s. She was an energetic, kind, and generous woman who was deeply devoted to her children and adored her two grandchildren. She was an avid dog lover, who cared for many family dogs through the years. Mrs. Ruggerio was also a gourmet cook and a wonderful hostess who always welcomed friends and neighbors into the warmth of her home of many years on Jefferson Avenue. She was and always will be a source of light and love in the lives of her family and friends.

The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, at 9:30-10:30 AM at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 200 Windsor Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ, 08033. Mass will follow at 10:30AM.
