Joseph Dilks Obituary

DILKS, Joseph C. On October 7, 2009, age 81, of Blackwood, NJ, the beloved husband of Mary E. Dilks (nee Kimley). He was a devoted father of four children, Robert (Anne Marie), Deborah (Dennis), MaryLou (Joe), and Daniel; loving grandfather of seven grandchildren, four great-grand-children, and a loyal sibling of two brothers and five sisters. Mr. Dilks was a U.S. Navy World War II Vete-ran; serving on the USS Missouri at the time the Peace Treaty to end the War was signed on its' deck. He was a retiree of the E.I. Du Pont De Nemours & Co. Gibbs-town, NJ, and a lifetime member of the Blackwood VFW Post # 7927. Visitation will be Monday eve. 6:30 - 8:00 PM at EARLE FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Church St. Blackwood, NJ 08012, where a service will follow at 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory would be appreciated to the Alz-heimer's Association of Southern New Jersey, 3 Eves Dr., Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053. Condolences may be viewed/posted at www.earlefuneralhome.com
