I am very sorry for your loss. I saw the episode and he looked like he enjoyed life. You could see he was very fond of his daughter and family. If more people were fun loving like him, this world would be a better place. God Be with you Butch.

I am sorry for your loss. I first saw him on the The Throwdown with Bobby Flay and really enjoyed that episode and then met him at the Rib Fest in Sparks, NV and tried the ribs and knew why he won the throwdown and all those awards. Those ribs were the reason I've kept going to the ribfest-had to eat as many as I could, buy the sauce, and then take a rack or two back home to share with a very select few. He will really be missed.

My wife and I just watched the Bobby Flay throwdown show with Butch. We were shocked at the end when we saw In Memory of Butch Lupinetti. I ran to my computer and found the obituary . Our consolences go out to the Lupinetti family from Saraland, Alabama. God bless you

I just watched, for the second time, the Bobby Flay Throwdown with Butch Lupinetti. I was looking him up on the internet, trying to see where I could get his barbecue the next time I was in NJ. Then, I was shocked and saddened to see the show end with "In Memory of Butch Lupinetti". What a loss. He seemed like such a wonderful, happy soul. We should all try to imitate his enthusiasm for life. Thank you for being you, Butch!

Butch luppinetti was a great person who loved his family, and was made of BBQ sauce and smiles. Everyone will never be the same without him. His hugs would force me to smile and even though he said he felt great at lbi when I saw him two weeks before his death god had his reasons to take him from us. Nobody will ever forget him.
RIP Uncle Butchie

Our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers go to the Luppinetti family. My wife and I met BBQ Butch many years ago in North Wildwood. Butch always took a moment to say hello to the family, shake our hands, and talk about his bbq. We only vacationed in N. Wildwood when Butch was there competing/cooking. Never missed a Flyers game or eating at Butch's BBQ. He was a True BBQ Legend! We are really gonna miss this gentlemen Butch! Rest in Peace & We Love You! Robert & Melanie Moore

Butch was a classmate of mine in 1969. I only knew him in High School. He was a great guy and everyone liked him. We had allot of fun in those days. I moved away after graduation from high School and saw my classmates only at reunions. I'm deeply sadden to hear of his passing and my prayers go out to his family. God Bless you All.

I was certainly saddened to learn of Butch's passing. But with a name like Lipinetti, what better place to go, huh? I have fond/crazy/hilarious memories of Butch, Hubbsie and my father playing all sorts of games and having the best possible time in general. Shane, if you're out there, contact me at [email protected]. My condolences and best wishes to Lynne from the Boyles of Maple Shade and Tempe, Arizona.

We are very saddened to hear of the sudden loss of our friend, Butch. He was a larger-than-life character who brought much flair to the annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off. After he was featured on the Food Network, making his way across the country to Sparks, Nevada, to join our event for the first time, he showed his true barbecue expertise by winning the coveted first-place trophy. All of us at John Ascuaga's Nugget will greatly miss Butch and we send our heartfelt sympathy to his wonderful family.

There are people that we meet as we travel through our time that touch us deeply. We will forever remember Butch from around 1985 at a get - together at our home. He brought a pot of mussels and as he was taking them from the pot to serve them, they were being eaten next to the stove. A wonderful memory about an incredible guy.
Aileen and I send our condolences to you and your family. We will miss his warm smile and big hugs.

I've had the pleasure of meeting "Butch" only twice during the Wildwood Weekends in July. Even in the most extreme hot weather this man was still at his jovial best. He always gave you a kiss on the check and ended his conversation with "God Bless You". Well God Bless you too Butch! There'll be some heck of a barbeque going on in heaven!
