Donald Nazzaro Obituary

Donald J. Nazzaro, Sr. 87, of Westport, CT. husband of the late Dorothy (Decker) Nazzaro passed away Saturday morning July 15, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital.
Mr. Nazzaro was born at home in Saugatuck and has been a lifelong Westport resident. He is a 1948 graduate of Staples High School. Prior to retiring, Don worked as a licensed plumber in Westport and following retirement, he worked as a Town of Westport Employee and a beach guard. He was also a longtime member of Westport PAL. Don proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Stanton and her husband William of Shelton, CT; one son, Donald J. Nazzaro Jr. of Stratford, CT; three grandchildren Jessica Kaesmann and her husband Evan, Christopher Nazzaro and his wife Natasha and Michael Nazzaro and one niece, Susan Sterling.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Rd. E., Westport. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday morning 9:30 a.m. from the Harding Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Luke Church, 49 N. Turkey Hill Rd., Westport, for a Mass of Christian Burial, interment with military honors will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery, Main St. Westport, CT. Don and family so sorry to hear of your loss,always respected your dad he was a good man and best football coach i ever had ,he not only taught me the game but take what i learned and use it in everyday life.My sympathy and prayers are with you during this trying time.
