Alice Schede Obituary

SCHEDE Alice R. Schede, age 82, a lifelong Milford resident, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010. She was the wife of the late George A. Schede. She was the mother of Susan (Tom) DeMatteo, Cheryl Schede and Carrie Vasilescu; twin sister of Dorothy Oliver; grandmother of Mark, Allison and Paul DeMatteo, Eric Schede and Brooke, Julius and Nicholas Vasilescu. She is also survived by her former son-in-law, Brian Vasilescu; her sister-in-law, Alice Head; her devoted caregiver, Diane. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Head. The hours for visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. with funeral services at 6:30 p.m. in the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Interment will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford CT 06405 or to the Make a Wish Foundation, 126 Monroe Turnpike, Trumbull, CT 06611.

Dear Sue and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. It is heartbreaking to lose a mother at any age. My thoughts and prayers are with in your time of sorrow. My condolences to you and your extended family. May she rest in peace in the hands of the Lord.
