Charles Broadnax Obituary
Charles D. Broadnax Sr. aka "Chuck" age 76 of New London, CT. entered into eternal rest on Sunday March 8, 2015. He was born in Eden, North Carolina to the late Rev. Dennis D. and Josephine Robertson Broadnax. Charles worked for many years at the Caterpillar in Peoira, IL. and also at Electric Boat in Groton, CT. Charles served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of the former New Era Lodge # 290 I.B.P.O.E. of W. Elk. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Charles Jr. Broadnax (Rita), Robin Rice (Wallace), Shannon Broadnax and Tanya Benson (Phillip), Lenora Gunn, Virgi Potts and Grandchildren. One brother Bobbie Broadnax of New York, one aunt Irene Broadnax-Fountain and uncle David Broadnax of Bridgeport, CT. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that dearly love him. He is predeceased by a Granddaughter Markesha Jackson, two brothers Jimmy Broadnax and Vincent Broadnax and one sister Lucinda C. Broadnax-Guiles. A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the East End Tabernacle C.M.E Church located at 265 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport. Officiating will be Pastor Jeremy L. Williams. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lester Gee Funeral Home 1390 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT

To my family! I miss cousin Charles. Charles was always funny yet serious. I loved when Charles came around it was always fun times. To my cousins keep your trust and faith in God to see you through. We are a Christian based family who grew up learning about God.
