Karen & I reconnected abt. 2 yrs. ago, & had been seeing each other on a regular basis once or twice a month ever since. So glad we took the time to do so! She was a fun loving person w/a generous heart, a ready smile, great sense of humor, & always up for a good time. We both thoroughly enjoyed each other's company, antics, & meeting up to kick back, relax, & share stories both old and new. She was not only my second cousin, but also a cherished friend & buddy. Will miss our get togethers & outings & most of all our friendship terribly. She loved her family, & spoke of them often especially niece, Jennifer & hubby, Brian, nephew, Chris, & wife, Laura, cousin, Billy, & wife, Diane, and their family. She often mentioned her "extended family" at her work place & hairdresser, & felt close to them also. Know that you all touched her life tremendously & will always have a special place in her heart. May knowing that put smiles on your faces & give you some degree of comfort in dealing with her loss. Cheers, Karen! Thanks for the many memories you left us all with, and hope you are sharing some Bloody Marys now w/the angels. : ) Love As Ever, Rhonda (Rutkowski) Visnicky

I was Karens hairdresser. With all the changes in reopening the salon, I thought it was strange I never heard back from Karen.
When wed text back & forth, shed always include some funny meme. In all the craziness of the rescheduling, I never realized until now that I had not gotten her text. Karen was thoughtful, generous, kind , and very funny! We had an instant connection when she just happened to walk into my salon not far from her office in Prospect. And then I moved to Oxford & she saw me there. And then I moved to Seymour & she came to me there. I dont know family, but I know names, as she shared stories of trips to the west coast to see her niece, and holidays with local family like the triplets (great nieces, I think). She had an elderly neighbor she helped & friends & a cousin that she met for drinks. And then there was Esmerelda, her cat. I loved my time with Karen on fridays at 12:30 every 5 weeks. Im so sad that I didnt know.
I will miss you, Karen.

Karen was a great friend always helping people. Back in the mid 70s me a friend named jake Karen and her boyfriend Bruce rented a house on Anton Drive and had a great many parties especially when SNL first come on. Karen was in charge of the three boys.
