Lloyd E. Husted

Farmington - Lloyd E Husted passed away peacefully on December 16, 2020. Lloyd was born May 26, 1934 in Lucerne, Kansas to Jack and Thelma Husted. After the passing of his mother he was lucky enough to gain Loleta Husted to love and raise him.

Lloyd married Shirley Carson on June 3, 1955 in Turpin, Oklahoma. They have 4 children from this marriage, Linda, Cindy, Lloyd Jr. and Larry. He lost his first love on March 2, 1980.

On June 16, 1981 Lloyd and Hilda Powell were married and he acquired three more into his family, Aaron, Gay and Carrie Powell.

Lloyd moved to Farmington in 1959 and came to call this home. He delivered milk, worked at a grocery store, sold cars, and eventually owned Raindrops, Inc. His greatest joy was to visit with people, and he never met a stranger. He was active in the Breakfast Civitans for many years where he held various positions. He enjoyed helping with the Connie Mack World Series and loved going to the games with his family.

"It's only as good as we make it" was Lloyd's motto about life.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, sister, two brothers, his two wives, two sons, a grandson, and a great-great grandson.

He will be missed by his children, Linda and Rick Smith, Cindy Whitaker and Mickey Giesler, Dana Husted, Terri and Joe Stevens, Carrie and Rick Rawlinson, Gay and Guy Campbell and Aaron and Tammy Powell. His Grandchildren: Lisa and Matthew Whitaker, Jason and Larry Moffitt, Lloyd III and Amanda Husted, Cody Henrichsen, Sarah and Courtney Rawlinson and Chandra Powell. 17 Great- Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. His Brother Larry and Betty Husted as well as many nieces, nephews and valued friends.

No services will be held at this time but hopefully this summer a celebration of his life will be held.
