Deborah Kwiatoski Obituary

HIGHLAND - Debbie was born in Menands, N.Y. on June 12th, 1953.
After a long battle with cancer, she passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Dec. 12th, 2014.
She will always be remembered for her unique spirit, creative soul and endeavors, progressive outlook and commitment to her family and its history. Her loved ones especially will continue to admire her for her kindness, social awareness, intelligence and strength in the face of a difficult disease, which she survived well past her prognosis on her own determination and spirit as well as her talented and caring doctors.
After studying at Skidmore College and the University of Pennsylvania, Debbie built a long career in journalism, public relations and economic development. Among the steps of her career journey were working at the Daily Freeman as a correspondent reporter and at the Hudson Valley Business Journal, as editor and later, owner.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, her two daughters, Jenna Cody and Becca Kwiatoski, her parents, Armen and Lois Renjilian, her brothers, Ron, Rob, Rick and Randy Renjilian and her mother and sister-in-law, Grace Kwiatoski and Phyllis Kwiatoski Babcock.
A celebration of life in honor of Debbie will be held on Jan. 10th, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Reformed Church of New Paltz.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Toys for Tots are appreciated.
