Stefania Duszak

Stefania (Grzyb) Duszak, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on June 21, 2015 at home. She was 88. Stefania was born on September 29, 1926 in Tryl, Poland. She was one of 12 children. She immigrated to America in 1964 to start a new life with her husband, Stanislaw and their five children in the Bronx, NY. Their sixth child was born in America. Stefania was loving, good-natured and generous. She enjoyed playing Bingo, card games, cooking, game shows, sewing and reading. She especially loved being surrounded by family. Stefania is survived by her sons and their wives, Benny and Margie, Joseph and Ellen; her daughters and their husbands, Teresa and Michael Pisarczyk, Bonnie and Chester Marszalek, and Elizabeth and Walter Leszczynski; Zofia Duszak. Stefania is survived by her grandchildren, Adam (Wendy) Duszak, Borzenka (Scott) Williams, Richard (Alicia) Duszak, Joseph and LeAna Duszak, Holli Pisarczyk, Zosia Marszalek, Ziggy (Bethann) Marszalek, Andrea and Daniel Leszczynski, and Zbyszek and Marcin Duszak, and Justyna. She is survived by her great-grandchildren, Cole and Brett Duszak; Jessie and Justin Williams; Stephanie, Tori and Adam Chorzepa; Brady, Dylan and Layla Marszalek. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanislaw Duszak in 2011 and their son, Stanislaw Duszak, Jr. in 1989. Relatives and friends are welcome at the Glenville Funeral Home located at 9 Glenridge Road. Viewing hours are on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 7p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. John's the Evangelist Church, located at 816 Union Street, Schenectady, NY. Burial will take place at St. Anthony's Cemetery, on Glenridge Road.
