I have had the friendship with Leslie over the years. He was a gentleman and scholar. He was a dear friend that has been in our home as our guest many times, even doing a portrait of me while staying. I will always cherish the good times we shared. He taught me a lot about art & life.

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. DeMille. It's a blessing to come from a big family. So many to love and be loved by. My sincere condolences to the entire DeMille family. Leslie left a wondrous trail of art and teaching, across the entire America's continent. He will be remembered as a fantastic teacher, a friend and a great talent of nearly a full century. I am truly proud to have known him and that he offered me his friendship.

I called Leslie my friend and mentor. We always had fun when we were together, never having a dull moment. He was a huge inspiration to my wife, Vicki, giving her instruction, gently guiding her in her persuit of her painting career. What a wonderful person to have known and loved. Les, I'm glad that our paths crossed. I miss you, but will cherish your memory.

Mr. Les, you will forever be in my heart. Within five minutes of meeting you in a crowd of people at an IAPS event, we somehow connected over our daughters' untimely deaths. Imagine my shock the next morning to see my new friend entertaining a crowd of 400+ while painting a portrait of our friend Urania.
You shared so much with me, taught me everything you know (your words). Rest In Peace, sweet Les. My Les'taBD (you hated that moniker), GOD (your moniker) and her (mine).
I have met a young artist (15) who is so eager to learn, and has an innate ability to draw faces. She has started trusting me like I trusted you. I hope I do you proud.
