Daniel William "Danny 2" Forrest II obituary

Daniel Forrest Obituary

Daniel William Forrest, II "Danny 2", 48, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Danny was a lifelong resident of Poquoson and Tabb, VA. He is preceded in death by his Poppa, William Samuel Forrest; grandfather, Dave Roland Daniels, and grandmother, Carol Jean Witte. He is survived by his wife Kate and children, Dawn and Evelynn; parents, Danny and Wendy Forrest, grandmother, Jean Tabb Forrest-Clarke; grandfather, Mern LeRoy Witte,; sister, Dana Rollins (Chris); nephew Peyton, niece Presley, and many extended family members and cherished friends.

Danny was a graduate of Poquoson High School. After graduating from Old Dominion University and William and Mary, Danny followed in his father's footsteps as an educator teaching elementary school. It was Danny's bond with his Poppa, a lifelong waterman, that lead Danny to also be a Charter-boat Captain. Danny's childhood was filled with boat trips with friends and family, and many happy times out on the water, and he continued that tradition with his children. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation or the Peninsula SPCA. Condolences to claytorrollins.com

I did not know Daniel though he was friends with my sons Jay & David at PHS. MY son said he came over to our house on Cedar Rd. He feels very familiar to me so I’m sure I met him at times. To all who are close to him I send my prayers.

Kate and girls,
I just learned today, Tuesday, about the passing of your husband/dad. I am so very sorry you have this to cope with at such a young age. Loss is always difficult. I pray as time passes that the love and comfort from family and friends will give you peace.
Blessings, Sandy
