LaTonya BIRSNER Obituary
She was born on Nov. 13, 1976, in Hampton Va., to Linda Burks and Freddie J. Stinson, both of Hampton Va. She attended Kecoughtan High School. LaTonya spent some time in Atlanta Ga., and later moved to Birmingham Ala. She worked as a home health aide and provided nursing care for her grandmother, Elanor Stinson. Her favorite sports team was the New York Giants, and she loved to cook. She was passionate about life and always came to the aid of others.
Left to cherish her memory, the one special love of her life her precious daughter, Kyra Perkins of Hampton Va.; one brother, Jamar Burks of Hampton Va.; her stepfather, Mark Briggins of Hampton Va.; her fiancE, Ernest Little of Birmingham, Ala.; and her 'road dawg,' Nachelle 'Pinky' Herring; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be noon Friday Nov. 2, 2012 at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel Inc., 4304 Victoria Blvd., Hampton VA 23669. Viewing will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home.

My heart is saddened to know this precious jewel was taken from this earth so soon. I used to play with Tonya when we were kids, I still remember the one pony-tail Linda used to put in her hair because my mom used to do the same, neither of us liked it. This jewel gone but not forgotten. Linda, I am praying for you and your family.
