An exceptional example of a human being. I regret losing track when our meditation group dissolved. One of a kind, warm, genuine, sincere, caring. Condolences to his family. My heart goes out to you.

To the Sullivan Family. I wish to express my sincere condolences in your loss of your husband, father, son, and brother. Though it had been many years since last seeing Doug, the kind words spoken by so many, proves he always remained the same. A real gentleman and a true "encourager". May you find peace in the love he shared with you and God.

I had the privilege of working with Doug at The Sawyer School in Hartford. His goal was for every student to strive to do their very best-and to look forward never back.He was a great motivator and would be excited if a student improved just 5 points. His love of sports, his book club, and eggnog shaped many who had just about given up.

I was saddened to learn of Doug's passing. I worked with him in the late 1970's at Aetna C&S in the civic center. He was a man of many qualities: Intelligence, sensitivity, sense of humor, great personal skills and maturity.
It was a joy to be around him. I last saw Doug at the Bradley international airport baggage claim area some time ago. I heard his distinct voice among many people and we spent some time together. It was good to see him.
RIP Douglas. You will be dearly missed by all of your family, relatives and friends.

Doug will be greatly missed by the HHS Class of 1969. His messages of encouragement and comfort, and his steadfastness in keeping the class informed through his many emails and messages showed his dedication to unity and harmony. His spirit will undoubtably live on in the hearts and minds of the Viking Family. He fought his fight with integretity and true grit. There will never be another like him.
