I have many fond memories of the Shepherd Family in our community in the 50's and 60's. Great family, wonderful friends, always active in school, church, and civic organizations, as well as local charities. In those days Pete was "Tinker." Sincerest sympathy to Mary Lou, his children and grandchildren, Al and Tommy, as well as his extended family.

I am sad by the passing of Pete. He was such a kind and caring person. He had a personality that was infectious. I shall cherish our bus trips to Dover. He made everyone feel so welcome and glad you were going.
My deepest sympathy to all of his love ones. I ask God to give you peace and comfort now and in the days ahead. I know you will cherish all the precious memories you have of him and may they be eternal. RIP friend. I know you are now pain free and waiting for the glorious day you will be with all your friends and love ones.
With love,

Pete's humor and smiles will be missed by all. He was a true gentleman and a strong community-minded person in every aspect. It was an honor to have known him, as a fellow Ruritan and as a friend.
